Did I say what the $30 was for in the last post? (20+20+6+6+6+30+175 ) No? Well... ROBOCOP! GODDAMMIT! It was a recent release under Movie Maniacs 7 and all stock was cleaned out the very day that series started arriving in the stores. The rest of the series were mainly characters from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake 2004 and one Cpl Hicks from Aliens, all of which sucked IMHO while our knight in the cyborg getup stood out in all of his shiny metallic glory... For the rest of the figs, I can only say, from the words of Sheriff Hoyt from Texas CM 2004, "I smell bullshit."

The fig was so hot it was cleaned off the shelves on its first release at a mere $20, and sellers are re-selling it now at a marked up $35 region. I could have done the same HA! Too bad I was a *MOMENT* too late.

Anyway, for a humble $30, here's my hero *Robocop theme music plays and Wenjie starts doing the Robo move* ...

So accurate is the sculpt even the lips are exactly those of Alex Murphy's in the movie.

And here's Robo taking it out on JasonX. It's tin-can vs er... regenerating half-tin-can...

Check out the legs... ooohhh...

Supposed to meet Ed at Clarke Quay to get the Takara Transformers Predaking Reissue but there was some delay in stock arrival. While we hung around, we noticed a makeshift store previously not around before or prolly cos i didnt check. Suffice to say, Spawn Asia was doing a clearance sale of its more recent stocks with box sets going at only $20! Thinking it a steal, the both of us got two boxes each of the 12" Wings of Redemption, one for keeps and the other for investment! Initially, I worried we may not resell the item for a good price because of the incredible low sale price of the item. But my gut feeling was right, just an hour or so later, the entire corner carrying all of that fig was fully cleared - easily 50 pieces gone! Poof! The lady manning the place told me some guy just came in and cleaned them all! Ok.. now we're beginning to see the value of our 'steal'. Btw, its original price was at $59.90.

Apart from this, we also got a few other cheap stuffs. 7-inchers going at only $6. KISS Love Gun set originally about $60 now only $35 (helped Sakuya to get one). On top of that, Ed and I made our upfront payment for our originally intended Predaking $175 a set. Damn the amount I spent this day! 20+20+6+6+6+30+175 = OMFG I AM SO FUCKING PROUD of that final number HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!

After Ed left, I hung around waiting for Sakuya to come collect his Love Gun set before splitting to join my family in the evening for a free movie invitation from my neighbour to catch The Phantom of the Opera at Shaw Towers. I dunno much about the story nor watched the stage version before, but I pretty much enjoyed this one. And I think Emmy Rossum is a compelling beauty in her role as Christine Daae. Er.. ok whatever.
