To a significant extent I believe:
There is no greater power other than that mustered from your heart and mind. Will and act in accordance to realize a reality and, by your own effort, you will find you have given that reality its existence. And so we breathe life into so many things around us today - those that help us, those that harm us and those that do nothing. All because we have given them meaning - by the will of humankind, for better or for worse.

Work to manage and adapt, D'J Party to host, lyrics to memorise, new stage attire to prepare, new clothes for work, most importantly pessimism to overcome... WHOO! Somebody! Stop me! *intoxicated and foaming* <:D~~
Have not been updating my blog for a long time and for good reasons too. The month of April till now has been most eventful and fruitful in my definition. Just this past Friday I've left my temp job as an Admin Staff at Tan Tock Seng Hosp HIS (pls pardon the lack of details) after working there five weeks. Made some nice friends there and gave out a few thank you/goodbye cards before parting ways. Would kinda miss the peeps there since they're all so nice and prolly also cos it's my very first experience in a real work setting (yeh i know i started out pretty damn late).
For this job I have a good friend/s to thank for the recommendation.
Too entrenched in my individualistic beliefs have I been before this time that I have shrouded myself from the inevitable reality of our life situation - conformist and rebellious attitudes cannot exist without the other but I chose to cast my sight only on one. To embrace this new big picture and change in mindset, to re-introduce the other half so long ago banished by myself back into my life, my precious sense of balance had been tremendously upset and, only weeks ago, a period of internal turmoil and struggle was my only company, not to mention lack of hairlength.
But I've since grown used to it, in some ways slightly better. At the same time, five weeks at TTSH gave me time enough to know some really nice people - senior, middle and young. But as I got to know them better, a call came two Fridays ago offering me a permanent position as a LO at RIPS (full details intentionally omitted so ask me in online chats or calls if u like to know thx). My first day will commence tommorow May 9. While the burden of the hunt has come to an end and the days of flipping the papers and browsing job sites are over, I have my Chinese to worry about since it will be called upon at various times - ain't very strong in that dept, esp in written form. Hope all goes well.
Also, Streetfest is 4 weeks away and I'm sure all of us want a good show, don't we? May this period of intense time/resource management and role-juggling bode well.
In other news, been getting a few more new figs lately but haven't the time nor mood to take pics of them. But here's one with my most recently arrived second hand Mcf 18 inch Freddy Kreuger, together with the rest of my 18 inch lieutenants, to end the entry...
